DC53 steel is a high-performance cold work mold steel material developed by Daido Special Steel Co., Ltd. in Japan, mainly used for manufacturing high-precision molds. The following is a detailed introduction to the DC53 Cold work tool steel material:
1. Chemical composition
DC53 steel contains various alloying elements, mainly including carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), chromium (Cr), molybdenum (Mo), vanadium (V), and trace amounts of sulfur (S). Among them, the carbon content is about 1.00% to 1.10%, and the chromium content is about 8.00% to 11.00%. These elements collectively endow DC53 with excellent mechanical properties and wear resistance.
2. Physical properties
Hardness: After heat treatment, the hardness can reach 62~63HRC, higher than SKD11.
Resilience: The toughness of DC53 is twice that of SKD11, reducing the occurrence of mold chipping and cracking.
Wear resistance and corrosion resistance: DC53 has good wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and can maintain stable performance for a long time in harsh working environments.
3. Application Fields
Due to its excellent comprehensive performance, DC53 is widely used in the following fields:
cold die
Plastic mold
Cutting tools
High Precision Parts
Partial hot work mold
