Vietnamese local media reported that Vietnamese Prime Minister Ruan Chunfu because of concerns about environmental pollution problems, has stopped a $ 10.6 billion worth of steel mills to prevent “Formosa event” again.
According to reports, the Vietnamese steel production company Watson Group (HoaSenGroup) is the plant’s investment, as of now, Watson Group did not make any response to the matter. Watson Group in 2016 announced the relevant steel production projects, plans an area of 1700 hectares, with an annual capacity of 16 million tons.
According to Vietnamese National Television (VTV), Vietnamese Prime Minister Ruan Chunfu (sound) asked the relevant organizations to clarify their market demand and environmental pollution. In April 2016, Taiwan Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. invested in the river Jing steel plant to become one of the most serious pollution sources in Vietnam.
