Rectangular pieces can be sawn from flat bar or plate to your specific sizes. Ground tool steel bar and precision ground steel plate can be supplied, providing a quality precision finished bar to tight tolerances.

Forging of HSS SKH9 Tool steel-ASTM A681
Slowly Heat to 650-750 °C, keep the temperature to heat thoroughly. Start forging. Finished cool slowly.
Annealing of SAE AISI SKH9 tool steel material
Heat to 1204 °C, soak enough time, ensure heat thoroughly. then cool in the heat treatment furnace.
Quenching of SAE SKH9 material
Preheat temperature/ ℃: 732 ~ 732
Quenching temperature / ℃ | salt bath furnace: 1216
Quenching temperature / ℃ | controlled atmosphere furnace: 1227
Tempering of SKH9 steel grade material
Heat uniformly at the tempering temperature for SKH9 tool steel material. keep enough time, then cool in air
Advice temperature 552 °C. more SKH9 tool steel heat treatment data, pls contact your heat treatment supplier,.
